Crofters Cafe in Feock, nestled close to the appealing National Trust gardens, offers a relaxed spot to unwind with a drink or a light meal after exploring the local area. This cafe leans into its casual, friendly vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, including an upstairs space where dogs are more than welcome to join their owners. On warmer days, parasols provide shade to those dining outside, creating a pleasant spot to watch wild birds swoop in for scraps and soak up the garden views.

The menu suits a broad range of tastes, with reliable standards like cheese and onion pasties, sausage bap, and a sourdough toasty filled with ham and smoked cheddar, alongside thoughtful vegan options like a vegetable tagine and pea and mint soup. Cream teas and hot chocolates are well-liked, making the cafe a comfortable spot for an afternoon treat. Coffee drinkers can expect a solid cup, and cyclists may appreciate a discount, hinting at the cafe’s connection to the active local lifestyle.

While prices tend to reflect the National Trust setting and may feel a bit on the higher side for some, the portion sizes and quality tend to meet expectations. Accessibility is straightforward, as much of the space sits on one level, and the atmosphere tends to be bright and airy, bustling especially in good weather. Families, dog owners, hikers, and garden visitors find it a convenient place to recharge without the formality of a sit-down restaurant.

Overall, Crofters Cafe presents as a practical, welcoming stop within this scenic Cornish village. Its mix of indoor comfort, dog-friendliness, and a menu that caters well to various dietary needs makes it a dependable afternoon break spot rather than a destination for more formal dining.

Plenty of room to sit indoors and outdoors including an upstairs area where dogs can accompany their guardians. The food offering includes great vegan and gf options. The prices are reasonable too. If you sit outside there are bowls of water for dogs. Wild birds will be visiting the tables for scraps. In the summer parasols shade the outdoor tables. Accessible as so much is on one level.

National Trust property so lovely gardens and house. Cafe attached is pricy but normal for the NT. We had toasted sourdough ham and smoked Cheddar sandwiches. Cream tea, iced chocolate. Service is fast and efficient considering its busy and food is very good and tasty. Overall very good

Loads of outdoor seating. Dog friendly. I sat outside, put my rucksack on the ground and when I picked it up it was absolutely covered in dog hair. I just had a drink and a piece of shortbread. Shortbread was OK and a big chunk.

After a delightful visit to the gardens, we decided to stop here for some food and drinks, and it was an excellent choice. The menu had a great variety of options, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavourful, and well-presented. I was especially impressed with the steak and ale pie – it was hearty, perfectly cooked, and packed with rich, comforting flavours. The coffee was equally impressive. Despite expecting higher prices due to the location, I was pleasantly surprised to find the food and drinks were reasonably priced, offering good value for money. The atmosphere of the place was warm and welcoming, with a charming, rustic vibe that made it feel cosy and inviting. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit.
